  29. (see the "tools_help" file in micros/arch/riscos/tools for further info).

  32. Description:

  34. FsckFrend runs 'fsck' in the background (allowing you to continue work
  35. in the desktop) and lets you know how it went. Since running fsck in
  36. this manner produces no screen output it makes it suitable for use as a
  37. repeating task alarm in !Alarm (which is basically why I wrote the thing).

  39. Features:
  40. * 'Auto-Quit'   If fsck returns 'map good', the appplication can be set to
  41.                 quit after a (configurable) delay.
  42. * Small window; takes up very little room on your desktop. Notice the 'toggle
  43.                 size' icon? full size (but still nice and small) the window
  44.                 gives a little more info.
  45. * Beeping;      if fsck returns a 'bad' code for whatever reason, the app can
  46.                 be made to beep at reqular intervals (to get your attention).
  47. * Configurable; you can set the disc to 'fsck' in the !Run file, or (more
  48.                 versatile), use "%0" and tag the disc name onto the app. name
  49.                 in !Alarm's 'Set Alarm' window.
