- Description:
-
- FsckFrend runs 'fsck' in the background (allowing you to continue work
- in the desktop) and lets you know how it went. Since running fsck in
- this manner produces no screen output it makes it suitable for use as a
- repeating task alarm in !Alarm (which is basically why I wrote the thing).
-
- Features:
- * 'Auto-Quit' If fsck returns 'map good', the appplication can be set to
- quit after a (configurable) delay.
- * Small window; takes up very little room on your desktop. Notice the 'toggle
- size' icon? full size (but still nice and small) the window
- gives a little more info.
- * Beeping; if fsck returns a 'bad' code for whatever reason, the app can
- be made to beep at reqular intervals (to get your attention).
- * Configurable; you can set the disc to 'fsck' in the !Run file, or (more
- versatile), use "%0" and tag the disc name onto the app. name
- in !Alarm's 'Set Alarm' window.
- * Compact & neat.
